Reducing food waste is critically important to me. It’s crazy to think that we waste so much bread and food in the US and yet there are people who are starving. When I go to my local farm shop, Im always faced with the same challenge, how much to buy.
We want to give our customer the best service so we have to make sure that we produce enough to meet the demand. On the other side, we don’t want to waste any food.

platform to sell surplus food at great discounts. This will help fight
the global food waste problem while also generating more revenue.
Our affiliated places are careful to deliver the same food quality to
customers as they can expect in other cases when they buy food
from the same places. The places are responsible for preparing
the food offered in the service in accordance with local
legislation regarding handling, storage and transport of food in
accordance with established principles and practices.
As the food sold through +Food is surplus food, it sometimes means
that it may not meet the same visual standard as you might expect –
but it still tastes just as good, for half the price!

Most people are aware that food waste is a huge problem in our society, considering the hunger problem that exist and the effect that food waste have on the climate.
Food quality.
The quality of the food can’t be compromised. In order for people to feel comfortable eating surplus food it has to meet the same standards as normal food. Specially products that contain meet and fish.
Established brands.
Brands that are known for their great food and service would be good testimonial that this is trustworthy and that the food isn’t bad or past its expiration date.
Price.
For people who wouldn’t consider eating surplus food because of the environment, a lower meal price is a great stepping stone to get them to use the platform.

The app will enable suppliers to add their hole menu into the app and then whenever they have some surplus food they can just let users know with a tap of a button.
Consumer
Buy surplus food from your favourite food suppliers for half the price while saving the planet and your pocket. Get notified when your favourite bakery have some extra donuts left
Feedback from first tester based on wireframes.
Throughout the design process, I kept conducting user testing to get feedback and see how users would interact with the product.
Having the sign in just before payment rather than the more usual way was something that many of the users appreciated. After downloading an app most users just want to see what this new app has to offer rather than creating an account without really knowing much about it.
